Wally who was the previous owner has been there for forever and a day. He has finally retired. The business is being revitalized by a new and younger generation.
Wilson who is a distant relative of Wally intends to restore the historic dim sum parlor. He is not interested in turning it into a posh bar like other young entrepreneurs coming into the Chinatown area. Instead he wants to preserve the history of what was Chinatown's first dim sum parlor.
Nom Wah is currently under renovations and plans to have its grand reopening the week of Chinese New Year. Stay tuned!
