Today Mulberry street was packed with people mourning the death of U.S. Army Pvt. Danny Chen.
Pvt. Chen grew up in Chinatown and was said to have died Oct. 3 in Afghanistan. The circumstances which surround his death seem suspicious as there were reports of him being bullied in the service.
Chen's family said that their son called them saying that he had been beaten for not turning off the water at his base. Days before his death, a friend said that Chen mentioned that he was the only Asian in his unit.
Right now the death is under investigation.
