"Chinatown Beautification Day is a two-day weekend (Saturday, August 17 and Sunday, August 18) for high school students to explore leadership and community and to challenge themselves to think in new critical ways. Through a full day of workshops around a wide range of topics, youth learn about current social/political issues, and are given the tools necessary to get involved in their own communities and create change. Past workshop topics have included mental health, hip hop as a tool for social justice, tips on how to write cover letters/resumes, and environmental justice."
